Discussion Questions:1. What is the first part of verse 1 a reference to, and why is it significant? 2. What does it mean to set your heart on things above? As opposed to what? Name some things that might be included in this? 3. What is the nature of the promise in verse 3 and 4? 4. What are most forms of sin? 5. What does it mean to put that to death? Those who don't receive what? 6. What are the three key concepts of verse 10? 7. What is verse 11 an argument against? Christ is "in all" what? 8. What is the difference between play clothes and work clothes? 9. Paul reminds us to whom he is writing in verse 12, what word does he use to describe them? 10. What "clothes" is the Christian to put on? List them. 11. Do you see verse 16 as a good motto for our church? What are we to do? How can we accomplish that exhortation? (what is significant about the word "dwell?") 12. How do you apply verse 17 to your life? Be specific. 13. Why is it important for the wife to submit to the husband? What does it mean to work at something will all your heart? 21. Who do you actually work for? From whom will come rewards? Why do we always seek earthly rewards then? 22. How does verse 25 relate to verse 11? 23. What is the responsibility of the slave master? How about the employer?
